Equity Detail
Climate Action Corps Members will support Host Partners throughout the state, primarily in underserved communities, and serve with a public agency, tribe, nonprofit, or educational institution committed to engaging their community in climate action.
Just Transition Detail
NC Climate Action Corps Members will learn real-world volunteer engagement and climate action skills through organizing community climate action projects.
Resilience Detail
North Carolina deals with hurricanes and flooding annually and is ranked second in the Southeast for federally declared disaster by FEMA. Climate Action Corps Members will focus on climate action around resiliency and flood risk (among other topics). One of the three AmeriCorps NC programs participating in the NC Climate Action Corps is Conservation Trust for NC’s AmeriCorps program Resilience Corps NC.
