Colorado Electric Vehicle Plan 2020

The state readopts the goals from the 2018 EV plan: 940,000 zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) on the road and 500 electric transit vehicles by 2030, and lays out a strategy for building out Colorado’s electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging infrastructure and for leading by example through accelerating purchase of EVs for agency fleets. Will increase the number of state agencies that offer workplace charging from five in January 2020 to 10 by the end of FY 2022 and prioritize purchase of ZEVs for light-duty applications, increasing the number of ZEVs in operation or on order from at least 200 by end of 2020 to 375 by January 2022, with a goal of electrifying all vehicles that have appropriate use cases by 2030.

The 2020 EV Plan set an interim target of at least 1,000 transit ZEVs by 2030, which includes rubber-tired, conventionally-fueled transit buses, cutaways, vans, minivans, and automobiles.
